# Consecutive Numbers Concept, Trick, Formulaes and Problems – in Hindi

## Consecutive Number (Consecutive Integer)

Definition:- Consecutive Numbers are integers that follow each other in order. They have a difference of 1 between every two numbers. In a set of consecutive integers, the mean and the median are equal. If n is an integer, then n, n+1, and n+2 would be consecutive integers.

These numbers follow each other in order, without gaps, from smallest to largest. For example – 2, 3, 4 and 5 are consecutive numbers.

Types of Consecutive Numbers:-

1. Even Consecutive Number

2. Odd Consecutive Number

1. Even consecutive integers are even integers that follow each other. They have a difference of 2 between every two numbers. If “x” is an even integer, then x, x+2, x+4 and x+6 will be even consecutive integers. For Example:- 2, 4, 6 and 8 are consecutive even integers.

2. Odd consecutive integers are odd integers that follow each other. They have a difference of 2 between every two numbers. If n is an odd integer, then x, x+2, x+4, and x+6 will be odd consecutive integers. For Example:- 1, 3, 5, and 9 are consecutive odd integers.
